Mary Ann Carpenter
Mary Ann continued her studies at Samford University in Birmingham, AL where she received a BA in Theatre. A few of her many performances there include The Tempest, The Dining Room and Once Upon A Mattress. In her time at Samford, Mary Ann performed in six shows per year. After college, she had the opportunity to work and perform at Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre in North Carolina as both an actor and manager of the Box Office and Front of House.
Upon her return to Memphis, Mary Ann performed in shows such as The Christmas Carol at Theatre Memphis and The Gift of the Magi (Della) at the Harrell Theatre. She met and married her husband Mike Carpenter and began a family. However, she did not give up her passion for theatre. She wrote and directed Our Seder, a dinner theatre for her church with an interactive Seder meal.
